Manager asks "how's it going?" Report says "good." Both stare at each other for 25 minutes. Or worse: the report has real concerns but hasn't organized their thoughts and the meeting ends with nothing surfaced.
"How's it going?" → "Good." (25 minutes of awkward silence follow)
Both arrive having filled in structured notes. Conversation starts with real topics — blockers, wins, concerns — instead of small talk.
Before the 1:1, both sides fill a quick check-in form. If the report's AI has access to their work tools, it can pre-fill wins and blockers from the week. Either way, Pluck's probes surface what matters: "What's frustrating you?" "What do you need from your manager?" The meeting starts at level 2 instead of level 0.
When an answer is too short, Pluck nudges the respondent to go deeper.
